Street Vets Clinics Volunteer Training

Nothing uplifts the soul and soothes the heart like helping others.

Please join our life-saving team of volunteers who make our free mobile pet clinics a success.

We provide care at over 50 clinic events, and see more than 4,000 pets a year, all powered by volunteers.

We don’t just need veterinary professionals, we need people who like to work with people, paperwork and pets, people to do heavy lifting, outreach before each event.

No minimum time commitment required.

If you are 18 or over, a kind person, and committed to making Sacramento a better place for people and their pets, we want you on our team!

The training includes:

Education on the basic preventive care we provide, disease prevention, safety and animal handling.

An introduction to Harm Reduction principles and trauma informed deliver of service.

Group training for each clinic team, including Vaccine Teams, Paperwork Team, Tag and Collar Team, Food Team, Dog Bouncer/Safety Team, Line Team.

This training is required for all new volunteers prior to attending a clinic.

Previous volunteers are encouraged to attend a training once a year, as our protocols evolve and our available resources change.
