You will get a minimum of five perfectly edited digital photographs of your pups (cats and human family members are welcome too), in plenty of time to use them for your holiday cards.

We will have plenty of holiday themed outfits for your pups to sport, if needed.

All participants will get Goodie Bags, thanks to our gracious hosts, Pet Food Express.

Best part? ALL proceeds go to 4 R Friends’ Street Vets program to help underserved communities keep their beloved pets happy, healthy, and at home, where they need to be.

Please join our life-saving team of volunteers who make our free mobile pet clinics a success.

We provide care at over 50 clinic events, and see more than 4,000 pets a year, all powered by volunteers.

We don’t just need veterinary professionals, we need people who like to work with people, paperwork and pets, people to do heavy lifting, outreach before each event.

No minimum time commitment required.

If you are 18 or over, a kind person, and committed to making Sacramento a better place for people and their pets, we want you on our team!

The training includes:

Education on the basic preventive care we provide, disease prevention, safety and animal handling.

An introduction to Harm Reduction principles and trauma informed deliver of service.

Group training for each clinic team, including Vaccine Teams, Paperwork Team, Tag and Collar Team, Food Team, Dog Bouncer/Safety Team, Line Team.

This two hour orientation and training is for all who are interested in joining the Street Vets corp of volunteers, and those who are already regular participants in our events.

Attendance at an orientation is mandatory prior to participating in one of our Street Vets Clinics.

We will discuss our unique culture or respect and service, concepts of harm reduction and trauma informed care, and how we develop long lasting relationships with our clients. We will also go over our basic wellness protocols for both cats and dogs, how to spot and respond to medical problems in our patients, and disease prevention. Time will be given to volunteer safety, conflict de-escalation, and dog fight prevention and intervention.

It will be an explosion of kitten cuteness and puppy mischief, with several of our rescued and adoptable pets ready to meet you.

Sarah from @SacTownDogs will be officiating a donation drive for our fur friends.

We will be accepting new and gently used leashes, collars, harnesses, sweaters and jackets for pups of all sizes for our friends without roofs over their heads this winter.

@hautebird will be serving up their famous chicken waffle cones, @nenadoespastries will be selling breakfast pastries and baked goods. Add in awesome shopping with local makers @glamshackskincare & @jenjemsjewelry.
